Gulf Coast Community Foundation approves more than $1.3 million in community grants.

$785,000 for the region's cornerstone arts and cultural organizations.

"The Empowering Arts Grant Program is a true example of trust-based philanthropy," Gulf Coast CEO Phillip Lanham said.

The Gulf Coast Foundation is a nonprofit foundation based in Sarasota, Florida.
